Rev. Stephen Maddox
Appointed to Camden United Methodist Church by Bishop Marcus Matthews beginning July 1, 2009, Pastor Steve has also served at Cicero Center, Bernhards Bay and Cleveland UMC’s. He continues to serve Cleveland UMC in addition to the Camden church. In addition to his service in the parish, Pastor Steve is a member of the Upper New York Conference Accessibility Awareness Team, the Africa University Speakers Bureau, the Clergy Colleague Care Network, the Mohawk District Clergy Worship Team, the Acts 29 Clergy Leadership Covenant Group, the Hand to Plow church revitalization team and serves as a mentor to a newly appointed pastor.
Rev. Maddox attended Onondaga Community College, Syracuse University, and is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC.
Pastor Steve and His wife Jeanne were married in June 1968. They have a son, Stephen, who lives in Canton Ohio with his wife Andrea and their daughters Megan and Sydney. Closer to home are daughter Samantha and Chris and the newest addition to the family, their son Tai.
When time permits Pastor Steve enjoys playing golf, fly fishing and reading.
